Q. I don't have a digital image, only a normal photograph. Can I still use it for Personalised Stamps™?

A. Yes. There are two options for you:

  • If you have a scanner, or have access to one, you can scan the photograph, save the image as a JPEG file, and use this image file to create your Personalised Stamps Online Order.
  • Alternatively you can visit an Australia Post retail outlet and place your order. Search here to find your nearest Australia Post retail outlet http://auspost.com.au/pol

System

Q. Does my browser need to be configured to use the Personalised Stamps site?

A. Yes. You will need to accept cookies and enable javascript. Refer to your browser's help for instructions on how to do this.

Q. Do I need any special hardware installed on my PC?

A. No. You do not need any special hardware.

Q. I have a MAC. Can I still use this service?

A. Yes. You can use this service with a MAC.

Q. Are there any browser viewing restrictions?

A. The website has been designed for the following browsers: Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Netscape 6.0 or higher and Firefox 1.0 or higher. We recommend that you use a screen resolution of 1024x768. However lower screen resolutions will work. Your browser must also support Macromedia Flash Player 6 (or higher).

Images

Q. What image file types can I use with Personalised Stamps?

A. Personalised Stamps uses JPEG images with the RGB colour scheme. This is the standard format for most digital cameras. If you are having trouble seeing your image please use an image editor and save your file as JPEG, using the RGB colour scheme.

Q. My image file is bigger than 2MB. What do I do?

A. You can use your PC and image/picture editing software such as Microsoft Photo Editor to convert and save the image as a JPEG file type with reduced resolution (and RGB colour scheme). If your image is bigger than 2MB it is most likely a high resolution photo intended for printing in a large format photo. The Personalised Stamp image is a small format so reducing the resolution of the JPEG file will not have any effect on the quality of the finished stamps.

Q. Can I have more than one image in my Order?

A. Only one image can be submitted with each order, however, you can submit as many orders as you wish, each with its own image.

Q. The image I want to use for my Personalised Stamp is too dark, how do I adjust it?

A. You can use your PC and image/picture editing software such as Microsoft Photo Editor to lighten or darken the image or to change the contrast. Then use the image in your Personalised Stamp.

Q. My image file is only 5kb. Is this okay to use?

A. We do not recommend that you use images where the resolution is very small. This will result in very grainy output when printed.

Payments

Q. Which credit cards does Australia Post accept?
